Protest At University of Texas Dallas When: April 20, 2010 (Tuesday), 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Where: 800 West Campbell Road, 75080 Contact: Anthony Dean, fighting4them@gmail.com, 817-637-2716 or Shannon Morgan at 469-438-6099 Comments: All materials will be provided, but please feel free to send whatever message you want people to see about vivisection on your own poster if you like! ** We will meet at the intersection of W. Campbell and N. Floyd Road ** Please join Animal Connection of Texas in a peaceful demonstration against this unnecessary cruelty, urging UT-Dallas to follow in the footsteps of the University of California-Irvine, home to one of the nation's top neuroscience programs, which recently announced that it was replacing this same rat experiment with alternative, non-animal methods. In a cruel classroom neuroscience experiment at the University of Texas-Dallas, undergraduate students drill holes into healthy rats' skulls, destroy parts of their brains with chemicals, inject them with drugs, and then force them to perform in behavioral experiments to assess the brain damage. At the end of the experiment, the rats are killed.
